Nathaniel HILL, Sr. (15 Dec 1723-~1805) +
Mary ??? (????-????)

Stephen (~1758-????)

Abigail (~1763-????)

Joseph (~1764-1847) — m. Elizabeth Perry on 14 Nov 1785

Nathaniel II (Jun 1763/1765-2 Feb 1851) — m. Hannah Moore about 1789

Nathaniel was born in Durham, Strafford County, New Hampshire to Samuel Hill (13 Dec 1696-2 Apr 1767) and Sarah Thompson. His grandfather was Captain Nathaniel Hill (1 Mar 1659-28 Apr 1742) of Rockingham County, and he had brothers John, Samuel, and Valentine (1731-1825).

I know nothing about Mary.

Nathaniel and Mary married before 1758. They lived in Loudon, Rockingham County, New Hampshire.

Multiple legal records from 1778 on give the name of Nathaniel’s wife as Rebecca, indicating that Mary had died. Nathaniel and Rebecca reportedly had at least four children:

Valentine () — m. Polly Thompson on 13 Nov 1800

John () — m. Rachel Haines on 17 Mar 1806

Betty () — m. Samuel Bunker on 5 Jun 1791

Hannah () — m. Winthrop Hall on 18 Dec 1794

Some accounts claim Joseph as one of Rebecca’s children. Around 1790, after selling or bequeathing all of his land in Loudon, Nathaniel moved with Rebecca to Barrington, Strafford County, New Hampshire, where they lived with Nathaniel’s son Joseph.

Nathaniel died in Barrington in 1804 or 1805. His will, dated 18 Dec 1804, was executed in June of 1805.

Children
