Samuel was born in Tuftonboro Township, Carroll County, New Hampshire.

Don’t know about Anna.

Samuel and Anna married in Wolfeboro on 13 or 14 Dec 1789.

Samuel died in 1823 and is buried in Edgerly-Blake Cemetery, Tuftonboro, Carroll County, New Hampshire. Anna died in 1850 and is buried in the same cemetery.

Children

The list of children above is a work in progress. There was another Samuel Abbott (1776-1861) and wife Anna (1788-1824, maiden name Howe) having children in early 19th century Tuftonboro. Sarah Abbott Simons (1807-1883) was a child of this other family, and I think Lemuel Abbott (born 5 Mar 1802, married Abigail Peavey) was also. The birth records for Josiah, Mary, and Samuel Abbott identified them as the third, fourth, and fifth children of Samuel Abbott, but didn’t name their mother. The birth record for Judith appears to list her as the sixth child of Samuel Abbott, but again, no mother’s name. The findagrave.com pages for Samuel and Anna link to just Richard, Judith, and Moses. The 1870 death record for Samuel Jr. listed his mother’s name as Anna, although it also claimed Samuel, Sr. was from Berwick, Maine. So, yeah.
